The Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, UBA, Mr. Kennedy Uzoka, expressed excitement about the development of the whatsapp banking with Leo, AI. He remarked that the bank is continuously working in line with customers’ demand to ensure that banking services are made convenient and without stress.

uba-leo-chatWith Leo on WhatsApp, customers who are users and lovers of the app can now can perform basic banking services including checking their balances on the go, transferring funds, paying bills, among other services.

Back in January this year, UBA unveiled its Chat Banker AI, Leo, the first of its kind from any Financial Institution in Africa. Since then, UBA account holders have been using the Chat Banker to perform transactions and lots more via its Facebook Messenger page.

Leo has now been launched on WhatsApp with UBA making sure its customers and bankers have easy access to regular bank transactions without leaving the comfort of their home.

LEO is already present in over 14 African subsidiaries, including Nigeria, available in three languages, and has now been rolled out to customers on WhatsApp.

How to Use UBA Leo on WhatsApp

UBA Leo on WhatsApp can be used for various transactions just like when using the bank’s USSD code. As long as you have a phone running WhatsApp, this service is available to you.

To use this service on WhatsApp, customers must add the LEO WhatsApp number: +234 903 000 2455 to their phone contacts, then search for UBA ChatBanking on WhatsApp to start enjoying the added convenience and ease of transacting with Leo on WhatsApp.

Some of the transactions you can carry out with Leo are:

  • Bank Transfer
  • Airtime Top-up
  • Balance enquiry
  • Bills Payment
  • PIN management
  • Customer care access
