Ways to dry a cell phone that fell into water

1 Remove the power source

Be careful in burying your cell phone in rice within an air tight sealed container such as a piece of celophane or plastic bowl with cover tight or a Zipper bag. The phone moisture will only be absorbed by the rice and not moisture from the surrounding.

Silica Gel Packs have been used as a drying agent for electronics devices. They are excellent moisture absorbent substances and work better than rice in removing the moisture from the cell phone.

They can easily be gotten . it is found in new shoes, tv, stereo, games mainly electronic devices. It is a good desiccant and provides better absorption of moisture.

You need place your phone in a sealed container with a few of Silica Gel packets and let them start drawing that moisture out of the phone.

  • Use of natural method

You can use light from a lamp or a windowsill If you don’t have access to the above methods of drying your phone. Just put your phone under the light of a desk lamp or on a windowsill on a warm sunny day.

This should gently apply enough warmth to the screen in order to speed up the drying process while at the same time not applying too much heat which could actually damage the phone.
