In my previous post on Social media marketing and its benefits, I explained what social media is and how relevant it is to business. Now let’s look at how we can use it to generate traffic for our sites.

It is free to join Facebook groups/pages it will surprise you the number of traffic you can generate utilizing this technique.

Let the group you join be in the same kind of niche with you. You need to ensure the audience that will be receiving your post are interested in your topic. With the use of the search bar on Facebook ,you can to search for Groups in any field.

You need to ensure your content is providing value to the members of the group. Once you are on the group, ensure to read and also post valuable and helpful contents so others can benefit from it. You can add a link to your website or blog if people are willing to learn more.

Once you  active on some groups on Facebook, you can be sure of receiving some free traffic to your website. You can also post to as many groups as you want.

Tagging

Let’s define the word as applicable to social mediaWhen you tag someone, you create a link to their profile. The post you tag the person in may also be added to that person’s timeline. 

Those of my friends on social media know i do this a lot and have keyed into it.

A picture they say is worth a thousand words, and when it comes to capturing your audience’s attention, you want to take full advantage of every chance to communicate your message

Ensure to note that without good visuals, your social media content will not attract high engagement. I have tried it several times and discovered that my post with images get more clicks and reach than those without it.

Be Active and Consistent On Social Media

It has been known that the more active you are on social media, the more brand will be known and as a result positions you better to drive traffic to your website. You don’t expect to post once a month and expect tremendous traffic  to your website. I have seen a social media page of a brand in which their last post was 5 month or even a year ago. I just asked the question “Why are you on social media if you won’t be active or post content regularly?” Just know that the more you post, the better your visibility and chances of getting more traffic.
